Bespoke Scottish Personal Tours. Specialists in personal customised tours with a knowledgeable and reliable guide.

Great Scot Tours has been established as a Personal Tour Guide company since 1995 and has built its reputation on knowledge and experience of all areas throughout Scotland, the English Lake District, and Ireland. These tours are not shared with other clients and are personalised for your own small groups up to 6 or 8 in number in an executive mini van. If you have a larger number we can arrange a coach to suit your requirements. The tours can be selected from 1 day or extended tours from a number of ideas shown on this website.

A set programme is suggested with each tour, however we are always delighted to add in your ideas. Entry to attractions are not included in the price, as you may not always wish to visit every Castle, Cathedral or Garden on the programme.

Please contact us for an estimated price of the guided transport. Accommodation and meals can be organised and recommended but these would be paid for by the client, thus saving the client expensive commissions.”.

“Cruise Tours are a speciality”. Cruise Liners make regular visits to Scotland, and Great Scot Tours has become a much requested private tour arranger for small groups. The Loch Lomond, Stirling and the Trossach’s tour has been a great success, and do consider elsewhere and also the Exclusive visit to Mount Stuart House on the Island of Bute.

Testimonials

  • "We arrived home two days ago exhausted, but very happy with our trip, especially some of the private tour guides we hired. David is at the top of the list....he was terrific! We especially enjoyed the added scotch tasting....the skies cleared for the occasion and it was just a beautiful setting. David's assistance given to our lady in the wheelchair at Stirling Castle was also very much appreciated. And we loved that he was dressed in a kilt...."

  • "From Classic Journeys, La Jolla, California. Our feedback from guests who travelled with you in Scotland. That told us that you exceeded their expectations and they enjoyed you on the trips. Guests appreciated your enthusiasm and resourcefulness. One guest said you were "a pro's pro". Thank you for making our guests vacation exceptional. "

Edward Piegza President and co-founder - USA
  • "Gordon was terrific! A great story teller who gave us a real feel free Scotland and its history! Gordon also helped the birdwatchers in the group by pointing out the different species of birds. The walk on Kerrera Islands was our favourite part of our holiday. We enjoyed Gordons singing and songs! "

Robert and Judy Behn - USA
  • "Gordon and John are treasures! They brought so much to the tour - made it special. Very responsive to each guest. It would have been nice to see guests rotate seats in the van so that we got to know each other a little better, so perhaps this is a suggestion that could consider in the future."

    Edward and Joann Sears
