Lord of the Isles (3 Days) – Overview
Leave Glasgow from your accommodation: Travel north passing up the west side of Loch Lomond. Visit Luss on the Banks of Loch Lomond. Travel on to Tarbet and go west over the Rest and Be Thankful pass to Inverary. Coming into Inverary we could visit the Castle with its fine display of furniture, tapestries, guns, swords, china and paintings. Then we continue south to Lochgiplhead, then west to Kilmartin, famous for its pre Celtic stone circles, burial cairns and sentinel stones. Bed and breakfast is at Crinan, where you have exceptional views of the islands to the west.
